4.2 The memory cubes
The CEP has all the components of a modern computer: a control unit, a power supply unit, RAM memory, permanent memory, and input-output devices.
Each of these components is connected by buses, the blue cables located above the cabinets.
The two ferrite core memory cubes, hand-woven, form a Random Access Memory, the temporary memory, of 18 KB each. Although it was sufficient at the time, it is a million times smaller than that of a modern cell phone.
