Museum of Computing Machinery

Behind the museum's entrance panel, on the yellow background, you will find the Mercedes Addelektra, a model dating back to 1928. It is a multipurpose accounting machine that allowed for calculations, writing, and printing results on specific forms for the bank or administrative office where it was used. It was established in advance in which columns to calculate the values and in which to insert text entries: the calculation columns of the respective forms define the position of the vertical calculators on the Addelektra. The machine was powered by an electric motor, and offered functionalities for recognizing and correcting entry errors.
